Preface from the Director of the Art Center

        Ever since the Art Center of National Chin-Yi University of Technology has been established in 2022, it has been making dedications to the aesthetic education for the students and the faculty member of the school. Much has also been done to help cultivate the artistic development nationwide. Since 2020, the Art Center has been scheduling one or two exhibitions per year for Taiwanese artists to showcase their art works. To show the courtesy to the artists, the President of NCUT grants subsidy for the Art Center to produce and print bilingual exhibition books for each exhibition.

        This exhibition of “Three Pottery Men Met by Chance” showcases a rich selection of artworks by three ceramic artists Li, Jiuan- Jiuan, Tseng, Kui-Mei and Wang, Pao-Chu. The three artists have not only won awards in domestic art competitions, but also displayed their works in official exhibition for many times. The styles of their artworks break away from tradition, illustrating creative confidence and the beauty of image.

        Under the good intention of our school's principal, Chen Wen-Yuan, to promote students' diverse and independent learning, we hope that the exhibition of “Three Pottery Men Met by Chance” will bring another opportunity for our teachers and students to appreciate artistic aesthetics. I wish the exhibition of “Three Pottery Men Met by Chance” a success.
