In ancient times, when Taoist alchemy was finally completed, the fire of the furnace turned from a red flame to a pure blue light. This is the so-called "furnace fire pure blue". “Furnace fire pure blue " refers not only to the heat, but also to the perfect mixture of technology and kung fu. Contemporary ceramists, in the process of creating ceramic works, are pursuing a pure and perfect state where soil and flame meet.

        The ancestors of human beings made clay by their hands, which is the original connection between life and the land. The painted pottery of the Yangshao culture in the Yellow River basin six thousand years ago is the crystallization of the hard work and wisdom of the ancestors; the diverse creations of today's potters are the soul of their pursuit of the symbiosis of earth, fire and aesthetics. A delicate pottery work with a unique style must go through many steps, such as soil training, breaking, shaping, bisque firing, glazing, glaze firing or wood firing, etc. Since ancient times, it has always been sought after and loved by many literati.

        This " Glamorous and Flawless: Joint Ceramic Exhibition of Lin, Ning-Sun, Lu, Qing-Lin, and Chao Hsin-Nan" is the first ceramic art exhibition held in National Chin-Yi University of Technology Art Center. In the past, the Art Center shared aesthetic feelings with teachers, students and the local residents through displaying graphic art. This time, three outstanding ceramic artists, Chao Hsin-Nan, Lin Ning-Sun, and Lu Qing-Lin were specially invited to provide nearly 90 pieces of three-dimensional pottery works, sharing with us a love of clay and flame. Although Lu Qing-Lin, Chao Hsin-Nan, and Lin Ning-Sun have different life achievements and experiences in their career development path, they all pursue a kind of self-sublimation and beauty in the spirit of ceramic art creation.

        On the March day with spring breeze and fragrant flowers, " Glamorous and Flawless: Joint Ceramic Exhibition of Lin, Ning-Sun, Lu, Qing-Lin, and Chao Hsin-Nan" kicks off, letting the round and full, beautifully extended, and freely curved ceramic works compose a beautiful transformation with us.
