Preface from Art Center

The Art Center of National Chin-Yi University of Technology has held various exhibitions that present different styles of art works. This exhibition invites Lin Hui-Tang who takes part in both art administration and creative work, Yu Shou-Chung, and Ko Shih-Chung to present a joint exhibition. Let us look forward to their multiple-fashion and extremely colorful works that once again bring the sense of beauty and sensibility to our green and rational ground on campus.

Lin Hui-Tang is one of the few in Taiwan who turns into creative work from administrative work. His creativity and aesthetics are both productive and refined along with his humble personality. After starting his creative works, Lin has taken part in more than a hundred exhibitions and harnessed love and collection from collectors both national and abroad for his works. Lin’s works for this exhibition focus on horoscopes. He uses multiple media such as acrylic, oil paint, and Xuan paper to show the philosophy with deep meaning and metaphors. Every work is similar to a whispering epic that hides under the context of the painting. Yu Shou-Chung’s works are always poetic with a lot love from collectors. Yu’s works are also spotted at international art auctions. This time Yu presents works that convey his deep feelings for beautiful scenery with oil paints. Though his works are covered with cold colors that show shyness, the charm that is hidden but passionate from his heart is so revealing in his every paint with great emotions. They certainly make viewers fascinated. Ko Shih-Chung held its solo exhibition in 1990 and received national awards for art multiple times. Ko’s works in this exhibition are mainly made of acrylic. They are all rich in color with great sense. Other than the collaboration of lines and blocks, Ko’s works contain both layers and flat coating of soft colors. They symbolize the artist’s own signs and the depth as well as width of his thinking and sense of aesthetics.

Let us look forward to the great exhibition of “The Three Elements that Gave Birth to the Earth: Joint Exhibition of Lin Hui-Tang, Yu Shou-Chung, and Ko Shih-Chung”. This exhibition will certainly unseal the new vision of great sense of art and sensibility on our beautiful campus for the 2023 academic year.
