Preface from Art Center

Since its establishment, the Art Center of National Chin-Yi University of Technology (NCUT) has held 25th exhibitions of various types of professional art. From the East to the West, the styles and moods of the works in each exhibition have not only nourished the aesthetic depths of the tens of thousands of students and teachers of the university and the residents in the neighborhood, but also shared the experience with the steady stream of distinguished academic guests from various countries who have come to visit the university. Especially at the beginning of the school year in September every year, the art center arranges an exquisite art exhibition, which is a passionate
journey of art appreciation for all students and teachers of the school.

This three-person contemporary painting exhibition has specially invited three outstanding contemporary artists, Ng Yak Whee, Chao Chun-Miao and Liao Fang-Yi, to exhibit together. Ng Yak Whee is an internationally renowned contemporary Chinese artist from Singapore. He exhibited at the Taipei Museum of History as early as 1983, and won the Excellence Award at the Kyoto International Art Exhibition in Japan in 1985. Since then, he has won numerous international exhibitions and awards. Ng Yak Whee 's works are beautiful but not gaudy, cool but not too cold. In the beautiful abstract compositions, one can seem to see his unrestrained but yet gentle and scholarly feelings. The
beauty of the seven themes in this exhibition is just like the colorful rendering of the morning dew and the setting sun over thousands of years, in which the viewer gazes at them silently, half-drunk and half-drunk, and meets each other in a poetic water and cloud world. Cha, Chun-Miao 's gelatin works present her care and reflection on nature in a figurative style. Between the changes in concrete and semi-abstract color compositions, one can see the female artist's care and compassion for the universe. Chao Chun-Miao 's artistic sentiment and creative beauty can be likened to a snowy mountain ganoderma lucidum, which makes people look up to it and enjoy it. Liao Fang-Yi's oil paintings are intertwined with post-modern thoughts and oriental sentiments. Her works are unique and high-level expressions of technique and style, which are rare in contemporary times. The painting is like the person, and the person is like the shadow. Liao Fang-Yi's unique artistic creation is like the pink face of a pure and innocent girl, looking forward to the continuous spring rain in the warm sun, and what she longs for may be the drunken sake.

We look forward to the joint exhibition of “Contemporary Painting Trio Exhibition Ng Yak Whee, Chao, Chun-Miao, Liao Fang-Yi", which will benefit our teachers and students with the beauty of each artist's artistic context, as well as share it enthusiastically with our international allies.
